If I Were a Room, I Would Wear...

Here is a bit of eye-candy and random inspiration that has been collecting in my "rooms" folder... I'm coming to realize if I were a room, I would be quite garish & eclectic. What would you wear if you were a room??

I would wear black walls:

A mix of eclectic art, from floor to ceiling:

Or, a giant statement piece:

Splashes of luscious pink and purple:

Books galore:

A mish-mash of floral patterns:

Folky touches and lots of fresh plants and flowers:

Or, over-the-top glamour, with lots of shine:

Bold & classic black-and-white:

These make me drool-- they're all so stunning. Each so different, but it seems there are similar underlying elements in them all.

And salon style displays-- that's my favorite way to see art work displayed.

If I were a room...I would probably be antique or vintage :). Or my walls would be filled with Alphons Mucha artwork.

Much Love,
Carlita

ashe -- I agree; I'm working on collecting enough framed pictures that one day I can have a whole wall covered like a Victorian salon...it will probably take a while though!

carlta -- Mucha is also one of my favorites!!

These are all so creative! I think as long as I looked like a room where someone could be comfortable and at home, I'd be happy. It wouldn't hurt to have some pink accents and fresh flowers though. :)

Despite I'm not a fan of citrus colors there's always a exeption, right? Hahaha! :)

I didn't like very much Mariah Carrey's closet because it's so impersonal, it looks like a store and there's a lot of golden shoes, which I'm not a big fan either!

Kisseees!

This home decor porn has me drooling! I just love the look of a multitude of mismatched frames against a wall. I keep meaning to do it for my house but never quite get around. Thanks for sharing all these! My guilty pleasure is apartmenttherapy.com

michelle -- I agree, comfort is def #1 priority.

fashion moment -- thanks dear!

paradis-- you've got a point! I definintely don't share her style, but the closet itself is amazing; I would just fill it with different things ;)

michiko -- I know, they are all so gorgeous.

couture allure -- I had the same thought...why not make the closet decorative, too?

ana-- I love that: "decor porn." That is exactly what it is! My problem is that I have quite a few pictures to hang, but I am never happy with how they end up looking on the wall...I always end up changing them around and then having nail holes all over my wall, haha!

We love the framed pictures in the coat closet...a bit like it is around here. Don't even look under our bed!

Great blog - we will stop by again soon!

seraph + splendor -- I know! That is one of my favorites; I like the idea of not thinking of art as too precious...and just putting it wherever! Thanks so much for stopping by.
