Have an "Ideal" Weekend!

I came across this strange/adorable image over at Glorious Nonsense and just had to re-post it for you. Apparently those weird hybrid photoshop images of the "ideal" celebrity parts melded together is nothing new {you know, Angelina's lips, Beyonce's booty, and Jennifer's hair smooshed into one freakish hybrid celebrity}. Click the image for a larger view...

Speaking of "ideal," do you ever imagine what your ideal weekend would look like? Or, maybe all of your weekends are ideal {if so, lucky you!}. I am compiling a list of all the things my ideal weekend would entail, and I am going to try and make this happen...soon! My perfect weekend would include:
  • An orgasmically delicious meal from a fabulous restaurant.
  • A surprise bunch of pink peonies from my boyfriend.
  • Spending time with friends and my sisters {this must include lots of laughing and good wine}.
  • Shopping fortune: this entails finding an unexpected good deal on something I have been wanting {a fancy coffee maker, an art book, or a velvet dress would be good!}
  • Giving someone I love an unexpected gift and seeing them smile.
  • A lazy afternoon nap.
  • Dancing!

What about you? What would your ideal weekend include? You should work on making it happen, too!

Ideal weekend...my husband home with me and not working, lots of sunshine and a day in the pool, my chef friend making dinner for us and our friends with lots of wine to quench our thirst...dirty dancing under the stars and full moon.

Well...yours sounds fabulous, that is for certain! I think mine would include an early morning sunrise walk on the beach and afterwards meeting up with my sister for hot, strong coffee and pastries at a sidewalk cafe. I would miraculously not have gotten sweaty on my walk, of course.

A shopping marathon involving used book stores, antique shops and high-end perfume boutiques would commence, followed by a light lunch involving tea sandwiches, scones and a young tippy assam. Then a 3 hour nap! Everything would be wrapped up with a shared cocktail (or 4 ) at an intimate little restaurant with live jaunty jazz playing, playing footsie with my man under the table. We'll call it an early night, of course, because we are old.

Oh your ideal weekend sounds much the same as mine. Obviously it'd involve a lot of delicious eating, surrounded with wonderful friends and boyfriends, a bunch of flowers, a magically clean house, a floral dress, and a good book.

Twila -- everyone should get a lazy afternoon at least once a week!

Okie -- OK! You're totally invited!

Jill -- Your ideal weekend sounds incredible, sexy, romantic...

Mango -- Ahhhh...antiquing with my sisters sounds like a wonderful idea, too! Might have to add that to the list.

Ana -- Oh, god yes! A magically clean house is definitely in order for me to enjoy all of the other things!

Gleenn -- I'm right there with you...I keep saying I will start yoga, but never seem to have the time. Sure, I'm happy to exchange links!

Cassidy -- I love your answer! I have to admit I never thought of that as a goal, but it sounds like a nice challenge...

i love that they even give dimensions for how dainty your wrists should be. what the hell is a person supposed to do if they have 7 inch wrists? Hire a trainer? Do some wrist curls? Damn! My wrists are less than 4 inches-should they be getting more carbs?!? It's nice to know that people were just as whack about body image back then.
