Artist: Alexey Titarenko

I recently discovered the photography of Russian artist Alexey Titarenko, and I am absolutely taken aback by the bizarre effects he achieves with extended exposure. Capturing spans of time rather than momentary snapshots, Titarenko creates a blurry, monstrous mass out of his photographic subjects. These remind me of Victorian spirit photographs, with spectral blurs and ectoplasm oozing a melding with human forms. His work, particularly his series entitled "City of Shadows," quite literally give me chills...
