I've noticed some of the more trend-conscious chain stores are really pushing loafers for the fall season (Urban Outfitters, Topshop). While loafers seem like a logical alternative to ballet flats (which by now are putting me to sleep), I'm still hesitant...I think it is because they give off an I'm-in-middle-management-vibe that I'm still struggling to look past. What do you all think? Here are some of the cuter ones I have found browsing around online:
Zappos.com:
Magdesians Timmie, $119
Penny Loves Kenny, $70
Zappos.com:
Trotters Molly, $99

hmmm good question...i'm not quite sure. i think if i were to rock this trend, i'd do it full out and not do a hip alternative, but stick to a really classic shape and pair it with edgier clothes.
i bought some penny loafers for fall last year and they have yet to make it into my regular wardrobe. eh i don't know. i think saddle shoes are cuter.
These are the cutest ones? I'm out on this trend--I agree with bonjouritsjinah...saddle shoes are far cuter. Besides, my feet are still recovering from the ballet flat era--I am starting to think heels (with an arch) are actually better for your feet.
Oh dear, I love the Ivy League loafer from Urban Outfitters...but I just told myself no more shoes...but then I discovered a hole in my black flats. Noooo!
Hi there-thanks for stopping by my blog!! I really like the 1st red pair of loafers best-very nice and stylish! I've added you to my list too!
I think moccasins might be a funner, little bit related type of shoe.
Hmm, not too sure about this trend. I do, however, love the Ivy League loafers, but that's just me--I'm crazy about any shoe with little buckles.
Oh I love loafers! I really want a pair of Tods!
I'd wear them with my skinny jeans.. not much else
