Sugar, Milk, or Legs with That?

This cheeky tea set designed by Tina Tsang is pretty, practical, and a little bit naughty. Such a great conversation-starter, no?

Have an Enchanting Weekend...

Can you name the fairy tales these enchanting images are inspired by? I am a little baffled by number 2 and number 6. Any thoughts?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This vintage pin-up is so politically incorrect on so many levels...it sort of makes me smile. It was a different time...

100th Post Giveaway!!

Hello to all my lovely readers! As a way of saying "thank you" for your constant inspiration, encouragement, and feedback, I am having a giveaway to celebrate my 100th post. I can't believe it has gone by so quickly! Since I have holiday gifts on the brain, I decided to do a "gift list" inspired giveaway, which basically means it includes three items that I love to give or receive: a little something for the house, a bottle of yummy perfume, and a unique piece of jewelry.

**************************************************************************

The rules are simple:

1. Leave a comment on this post no later than Wednesday, December 5th.

2. Tell your friends -- spread the word!

The winner will be picked at random and notified on the 5th. We will make shipping arrangements privately via e-mail. [and if you live on the other side of the world from me, you might have to be patient, because I will probably use the inexpensive shipping method].

Sound good??

***************************************************************************

Here are the things the giveaway will definitely include [and perhaps there will be another one or two little things thrown in for fun]. Keep it all for yourself or give a few things away for gifts!

* One Baby Grobal Planter in Turquoise [the one on the right in the photo]: A cute, stylish planter that doesn't require a green thumb -- and it's designed by the amazing Karim Rashid! A few people on my personal holiday list will be getting one of these as well. Go to Delight.com for more info on the Grobal.

*One Chocolovers 1.7 oz. eau de toilette spray [by Italian perfumery Aquolina] -- Spicy, sweet , and chocolately. I get so many compliments when I wear this. Visit this Sephora.com link for details on Chocolovers.

*Vintage gold-dipped leaf necklace -- I purchased two similar necklaces at an estate sale. This is such a cool necklace --I wear the other one all the time. It has such a delicate, organic shape.

Good luck!!!!

Black Christmas: 2008 Holiday Gift Guide

Perhaps I was in a dark mood...or maybe it was the conversation I had with my boyfriend about his favorite Christmas movie, "Black Christmas" [a Christmas horror movie!?]... either way, as I began compiling my holiday gift guide, I quickly began to see a pattern -- you guessed it: black! Despite the slightly dark tone of the list, the gifts are actually all quite lovely, practical, and well-priced [all under $50!]:

Write a note for your sweetie or create a design of your own: Chalkboard Candle, $19.50. Delight.com.

So simple and versatile, but with an edge: Giles & Brother. 3mm Spike Bangle in matte hematite. $45. Gargyle.com.

If your loved one must have a vice, you can at least be sure they are warm and cozy while they indulge: Smoking Mittens, $25. Spoonsisters.com.

Slightly dark, but with a wink: Gothic Black Pom Pom Scarf, $36. Fredflare.com.

Gorgeous notebooks, almost too pretty to write in: Set of three Black Dahlia Notebooks, $18.95. Momastore.com.

A bit gothic Lolita, no?: Black Hard Candy Heart Sunnies, $11. Fredflare.com.

A great gift for guys or girls -- practical and stylish: Large charcoal natural deoderizer ball. $45. Fitzsu.com.

Sweet...but not too sweet: Forget-Me-Knot enamel bow ring. $48.50. Delight.com
