I've got quite a weakness for hats and haberdashery! Up until now, I've always thought of hats as a casual, throw-it-on-when-you're-lazy kind of accessory, but these gorgeous 20's style hats and cloches by Yellow Field 7 have me thinking that the fancy cocktail hat needs to make a comeback!
And just look at these dashing vintage ladies, sleek and oh-so-gamine in their cloches...

I was just looking at these hats on Etsy the other day! The one at the top is my favorite. Wish it wasn't so expensive.
I saw a woman wearing a cute felt cloche hat like the ones pictured at the top at a bar recently. She was wearing it with a great simple purple dress and gold necklace.
These are beautiful! I agree with you that hats need to make a comeback.
I absolutely love cloche hats. I'm in love with this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26984966
i share your love of haberdashery, but alas am cursed with a giant head that makes every hat appear as though it were a beanie. perhaps i could have an extra large hat custom made.
lovely photos!

Amazing! I also love to look back and see those great ladies!

Cloche hats are my favourite kind! Something about them always look so elegant, yet kind of playful at the same time. I need to start using mine more often, though it isn't half as smart as some of those in your post. People should wear hats more often - I think it would make society more polite, don't you?
Those cloches are incredibly beautiful and well made! Thanks for the post!
maggie -- They are quite expensive...the vintage versions are quite pricey as well.
emily -- sounds beautiful!
courtney -- You can help bring 'em back!
brigid -- gorgeous!
annie -- my head is big, too!! LOL.
tiz -- Thanks so much Tiz!
kira -- I know...such wonderful old photos.
elaine -- I agree: feminine without being too "girly."
airam -- I wonder if it would make society more polite? That is an interesting prospect!
sam -- Indeed, they look expertly crafted. What a wonderful talent.
